A talk by Peter Foden about the Sir John Williams of Llangybi Castle, c 1700.
Insights into Sir John William’s life and character including his near loss of the estate, questions about the sources of his wealth, his political and legal career, a spicy scandal and how all this impacted on the house, the estate, the landscape and the locality.
This event is free to members. Guests welcome. Refreshments will be available for a small donation.
