The Association collects members’ names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.
We process this data on the basis of “legitimate interests” as we cannot administer your
membership of the Association without this information. We will communicate with you by
email unless you have indicated otherwise, in which case we will communicate with you by
post. The exception to this is the journal “The Monmouthshire Antiquary” which will be
mailed to you on publication. Phone numbers will only be used in emergencies or during
visits if relevant.
We do not share your data with any third party.
Your membership data is stored securely. If we thought that your data had become
compromised we would tell you.
If you need to see or change your details, or if you choose to cancel your membership or
revoke your permission for us to contact you, please email the membership secretary using

If you cancel your membership, we will delete your data as soon as you advise us.
If you do not renew, we will delete your data at the end of June in the year following your
